Coito Ergo Sum (Julian Shah-Tayler)

I love the power of the internet. This is a guy who is the room mate of Featured Artist Jawnee from That Noise. It's his debut album, and let me tell you...from the first couple songs I've listened to, I'd definitely say there must be something special over in the water at THEIR apartment. Feel like sending me over a bottle of THAT special stuff guys? Very original, there are definite New Wave influences and let me say... it's a beautiful world! Look for the review of this album!

High Times (Jamiroquai)

Today just felt like a sit back and relax kinda music day. It has been raining ALL day, and though my day started off with a little Miles Davis I finally decided on Jamiroquai. Unfortunately, not a whole lot has been going on in the public eye with this UK based Jay Kay fronted band. But this is a "greatest hits" album so it doesn't really matter. It covers everything this band did in the great years (1992-2006)...basically the time I was REALLY growing up. With a nice danceable electronica/pop background, lyrics to really make you think, and a catchy melody Jamiroquai is CERTAIN to get you feeling better and in a great mood to take on whatever your day has for you.

Faceless (Godsmack)

-Godsmack is a band a guy like me can really respect. They've gotten me through some tough times, and they've let me down. Let's all face it, they had a GREAT streak going up until March 16th, 2004. Yes, I'm talking about the acoustic album. What an upset. HOWEVER, this year they've really brought it back. Oracle kicked my ass in a great way, it's the album I've been waiting for. A definite SURGE of raw power that only Sully Urna can spit out, Tony Rambola quite frankly KICKS ASS with the guitar riffage, and has a few more shimmering solo adventures like I wanted to hear all along. Is this the return of the EPIC guitar solo? I surely hope so. Not to be remiss, Robbie and Shannon Larkin kick major tail holding all this band up. And indeed the entire time I'm listening to this new Oracle album I can't help but think of Animal. Thanks for that Shannon.

Anyway, back to Faceless. What more really needs to be said? This is a killer album to be cherished by all. Going from such gentle places as "Serenity" to killer raw power of  "I Fucking Hate You" there really is nothing missing from this album. It's perfect! From cover to cover.
